Why aren't my texts being delivered?
Check whether the text was sent at all, then read the delivery reason. Some failures are about the recipient's number, some are carrier filtering, and some need support to look into.
Step 1: Did the text leave Pipelio?
If you saw Couldn't send the text., the text was not sent. Check:
the workspace is on an active Pipelio Pro plan and has a phone number,
the contact is not marked Do Not Contact and has not replied STOP. See Do Not Contact and STOP opt-outs,
you have text credits left this month, or calling balance for extra texts. See Text credits and charges,
the message is not too long.
If you saw "Couldn't check whether this contact opted out, so nothing was sent", wait a moment and try again.
Step 2: Read the delivery status
Select the status under the text to see the reason. See What text delivery statuses mean.
| Kind of reason | What it usually means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| The recipient opted out | They replied STOP | Do not text them. You can still call |
| Phone off, unreachable or out of service | The handset or number is not reachable right now, or no longer in use | Try again later, or call. Check the number with the seller |
| The number cannot receive texts | Often a landline | Call instead |
| Filtered by the carrier | The carrier blocked the message | See below |
| A problem with how texts are sent from your workspace | Not caused by your balance or the recipient | Contact support |
If texts are being filtered
Carriers filter texts they consider unwanted. Filtering can depend on the message content, how many similar messages are sent, and the sender's registration. Some things that help:
Write naturally, and avoid link shorteners and all-capital text.
Do not send the same message to many people at once.
Make sure the person expects to hear from you.
Pipelio cannot override a carrier's decision or promise that a message will be delivered.
When to contact support
Contact support if many texts to different people fail, if texts show no report for a long time, or if the reason points to your workspace's sending setup. Include a few example contacts and the times you texted them. See Contact support.

In Pipelio, open Support at the bottom of the left sidebar and send a message. Workspace admins can message support directly; other teammates should ask their admin. Include what you clicked, what you expected, and the exact words of any message you saw.
