City, state or ZIP is missing after an import
Pipelio fills City, State and ZIP only from separate columns in your file. A single full-address column is kept as the address but is not split into city, state and ZIP.
Why it happens
Pipelio stores an address in parts: street, city, state and ZIP. When you import:
A column mapped to Full address, for example "123 Main St, Dallas, TX 75201", is saved as the lead's address, but it is not split apart. City, State and ZIP stay empty.
City, State and ZIP are filled only from columns you map to City, State and Zip code.
Import it correctly next time
If your file has separate columns, map them like this in the Match columns step:
| Column in your file | Pipelio field |
|---|---|
| Street, for example "123 Main St" | Address (street line) |
| City | City |
| State | State |
| ZIP or Postal code | Zip code |
If your file only has one combined address column, split it into separate columns in your spreadsheet first, then import.
Fix leads that are already imported
Re-importing the same file will not update existing leads, because matching leads are reused and their details are left as they were. Fix them on the lead instead:
Open the lead.
Edit the address, which has separate Street address, City, State and ZIP code fields.
Choose Save address.
For a large number of leads, contact support with the file you used and how many leads are affected.
See city and state on the Leads page
City and State are columns you can turn on. On the Leads page, open the display options and use Choose columns… to add them.
